GrieF Support
FOR Families WHO LOST A loved one to COVID-19
I am mailing a free copy of my illustrated book "Grief is Mess" with a personal note to individuals whose family member died due to COVID-19. You can read more about the book here.

Why Am I DOING THIS?
Directly after someone dies, support typically pours in. Neighbors make casseroles and friends call to check in. As weeks and months go by, this support subsides and many people find themselves alone with their grief.
Grief is difficult to understand, express, and bear. I made "Grief is a Mess" after losing my mother to ovarian cancer in 2014. I made the book to normalize the grieving process. I want to provide grief support to those who need it.
As COVID-19 has quickly taken the lives of so many, I have felt that there is little I can do. I cannot nurse a sick individual back from the brink of death. I cannot provide therapy for every person who needs it. I do not have millions to donate toward healthcare or vaccines.
But I do have a book that can provide comfort to those who are grieving. So I am giving in the way that I can: by mailing books. I am using a model where individuals submit names so that this is a community project. It can be difficult to know how to help others and submitting a name provides an opportunity to send support.
How can you heLP?
You can help by submitting a name or letting others know about this project.
If you would like to financially contribute, please consider buying one of my books. I use the royalties from my book sales to fund this project. You can purchase my books on Amazon (Grief is a Mess and Making it Through Chemotherapy). This will allow me to mail more books to people, plus you can give the books you purchased to those in your community.
